Description:
When creating a mission in Dispatch Pro, LZs without an associated GPS waypoint currently send the full address (street, city, state, county, country) into the Waypoint ID field in Ops Suite. In our previous system, this field defaulted to “SCENE” when no waypoint ID was available.
This request is to update Dispatch Pro so that when an LZ does not have a GPS waypoint, it sends a standardized value (e.g., “SCENE”) instead of the full address string.
Problem:
The current behavior results in inconsistent and overly verbose Waypoint IDs in Ops Suite, making them harder to read and less standardized for crews.
Proposed Solution:
Modify Dispatch Pro logic to send “SCENE” (or another standardized value) as the Waypoint ID when no GPS waypoint is associated with the LZ.
Impact:
Improves consistency across missions
Enhances readability for end users in Ops Suite
Aligns behavior with previous system expectations
