Currently, all request and patient information tabs are displayed regardless of the type of call being handled. This can make the interface feel cluttered and require users to navigate through tabs that are not applicable to the current request.
Displaying only the tabs that are relevant to the current workflow would simplify data entry, reduce distractions, and improve efficiency for dispatchers and crews.
Allow organizations to configure which request tabs and patient tabs are displayed based on the selected call type and/or patient characteristics.
Different call types often require different information.
Examples:
Scene Response – Display tabs relevant to emergency responses.
Interfacility (IF) Transport – Display tabs such as Flight Information, Flight Plan, Position Reports, Epic Notes, Transport Documents, etc.
Standby/Event Coverage – Display only the tabs needed for event operations.
Patient-specific tabs could automatically appear based on the patient's condition or transport type.
Examples:
Selecting OB as the patient nature displays the OB Information tab.
Selecting Burn displays the Burns tab.
Selecting Trauma could display trauma-specific documentation.
Pediatric patients could display pediatric-specific forms.
General medical calls would only show the standard patient tabs.
Reduces screen clutter.
Simplifies dispatcher and crew workflows.
Presents only information that is relevant to the current request.
Reduces unnecessary navigation between tabs.
Helps users focus on completing the appropriate documentation.
Creates a cleaner, more intuitive user experience.
Allow administrators to configure tab visibility through system settings.
Example rules:
Call Type = Interfacility → Show IF-specific request tabs.
Call Type = Scene Response → Hide transport-specific tabs.
Patient Nature = OB → Display the OB Information tab.
Patient Nature = Burns → Display the Burns tab.
Patient Nature = Trauma → Display trauma-related tabs.
The tab layout could automatically update as the call type or patient nature changes, ensuring users always see the information most relevant to the current request.
