Ability to Turn Special Equipment On or Off in Transport Scheduler

What Problem Will This Feature Fix?

Not every organization using Transport Scheduler needs to collect or display special equipment information as part of the scheduling process. Currently, organizations may have fields or options displayed that are not relevant to their workflow.

IU Health would like the ability to configure whether Special Equipment is used within Transport Scheduler.

Story (Describe How This Feature Will Improve a Process Within Your Organization)

Add an administrative setting that allows an organization to turn the Special Equipment functionality on or off within Transport Scheduler.

When enabled, users could continue documenting special equipment requirements as they do today. When disabled, the Special Equipment option would be hidden from the scheduling workflow.

This would allow organizations to configure Transport Scheduler around their actual operational needs rather than displaying fields that their staff do not use.

• Reduces unnecessary fields and screen clutter.

• Makes scheduling faster for organizations that do not track special equipment.
