Currently, when installing a part on an aircraft, the user must first select an available Kardex position. The system then displays the list of compatible parts that can be installed in that position.
However, in some cases, Kardex position names are not sufficiently explicit, making it difficult for users to identify the correct position beforehand.
To improve usability and efficiency, we propose introducing an alternative workflow:
The user first selects a part from the list of available items in the aircraft hangar (or create a new one with the "add unknown item" option).
Once the part is selected, the system displays the list of compatible Kardex positions where the part can be installed.
This approach would:
Simplify the decision-making process when position naming is unclear
Reduce potential selection errors
Improve overall user experience and workflow efficiency
Expected Behavior:
Allow users to initiate the installation process by selecting a part first, and then choose from a filtered list of compatible Kardex positions.
