Ability to track flight time on equipment/liters within CAD/FVO

Looking for a way to track flight time for equipment on the aircraft, to comply with FAA regulations. Specifically, FAA now has a yearly, or 500 hours, inspection on liters. We would like a feature in FV and/or FVO that allows us to track equipment's flight time. Liters, and other pieces of equipment, are not always on for every leg of a mission, so overall flight time for the asset would not be accurate.

Currently, we looked at this and attempted to create our own work around. Our initial thoughts were to add the equipment as a “crew member” in the manifest, which would allow us to track its flight time individually on every leg. Instead of a person's name, the equipment would be named as the serial number for the specific item. This would allow us to track our standard liters, as well as our isolettes and other specialty items. However, this might not be the best path forward and wanted to see if a new feature could be added to the software to help us track these types of items during requests.
