Module: Audit Module → Audit Checklist
Current State: The "Print Checklist" function exports the checklist to PDF only. This works for viewing/archiving but offers no ability to manipulate or feed data back into the system.
Request:
Introduce an "Export to Excel" option that allows users to:
Export the full audit checklist into a structured .xlsx file, preserving all items, sections, statuses, and notes.
Amend offline — add, remove, or edit checklist items in Excel using familiar tools (sorting, filtering, bulk-editing).
Re-upload the modified file back into OSS, with the system validating the structure and flagging any errors before applying changes.
Audit the checklist itself — maintain a version history log showing what was changed, by whom, and when, so the checklist can be referenced for amendments and compliance evidence.
Why it matters:
Large checklists are tedious to edit line-by-line in the UI. Excel gives auditors speed and flexibility for bulk changes.
Operators need to tailor checklists per audit scope, aircraft type, or regulatory update, and often need to collaborate on changes before committing them.
A tracked import history satisfies internal QA and regulatory requirements around document control and traceability.
Suggested UX:
Export uses a locked-header template so re-uploads can be validated consistently.
On re-upload, display a change preview/diff before committing.
Each import event is logged in the checklist's history with user, timestamp, and change summary.
