Include the Report Champion in Safety Report Closure Notifications

Problem Statement

Currently, when a Safety Report Champion closes a report, the Champion does not receive the standard Closure Notification email because they are the user who performed the closure action.

We request that the Report Champion still receive the Closure Notification when acting as the report closer. Operators regard the email as an important confirmation and record that the report has been formally closed. This provides an auditable email trail and confirmation that the closure action was successfully completed.

Proposed Enhancement

Consider changing the system’s designed behaviour so that the assigned Safety Report Champion/s remains included in the Closure Notification recipient list, even when the Champion is the user who closes the report.

The notification should:

• Be sent to the Report Champion as part of the normal Closure Notification process.

• Provide the Champion with a formal email record for audit, tracking, and filing purposes.

This enhancement should apply specifically when the Report Champion acts as the user who closes the Safety Report.
