Enable email/text notification when certain tracking delays arrise or when a track ends while the aircraft is still flying.
When an iridium track is cut mid flight due to loss of iridium coverage, a email/sms notification would enable dispatch to verify that the aircraft has landed safely and the premature track ending is not caused by an emergency.
This is to account for situations where the aircraft lands in remote, Iridium only areas, while there is a coverage "gap" between satellites.
Ex. last position sent to satellite is while the aircraft is still flying. Then, minutes later the aircraft lands and shuts down without being able to send any position messages due to lack of satellite coverage. This situation currently cause the track to be cut mid flight.
A warning email/SMS to dispatch would be a good heads up to keep check whether the aircraft has indeed landed safely.
The app currently highlight tracking delays with a timeglass icon and highlights speed at which previous tracks have ended if >0. This is great but only works if actively looking at the map.
What we need is an email/text alert triggered by tracking delays or flight log ending mid flight, so that dispatch can be warned of the situation happening.
Ideally, the parameters for this notification can be customized and based on the following criteria:
Tracking delay > 5min (or customizable time)
Flight log ending with speed > 0 (or customizable speed)
Flight log ending with altitude greater > 30ft AGL (or customizable height)
